The Dermatology Supervisor reports to Dermatology Practice Manager, provides direct supervision to staff, oversees daily activities such as patient registration, scheduling, new patient coordination, responding to patient concerns, staff scheduling, etc.
Involves the administrative services and operations for health care clinics or centers, in accordance with federal, local, and internal standards, policies, and regulations. Typically includes operations, fiscal management, program planning, and / or external marketing activities. Management levels may include oversight of clinical patient care.
Supervises clinic operations staff involved in routine functions. Oversight of administrative areas such as registration, new patient coordination, scheduling, medical records storage and maintenance, facilities, insurance authorizations, and clinical support staff such as medical assistants.
Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
A minimum of three (3+) or more years of Dermatology experience.
Experience and proven success in skills to supervise support staff in clinic/center administration, and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Current supervisor experience.
- Ten (10+) or more years working in an busy outpatient clinic.
- Five (5+) or more years of EPIC scheduling and template build experience.
- Five (5+) or more years Call Center experience.
- Five (5+) or more years Dermatology clinic experience.
- Ten (10+) or more year of academic medical center work.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
