The Financial Information Services team provides campus and UC wide financial enterprise systems for the UC San Diego community. We strive to consistently deliver quality and reliable information systems that help our campus achieve its administrative goals. Our combined technical resources allow us to build, integrate, host and deliver campus-wide enterprise systems for both our campus and collaboratively with other campuses within the UC system. Additionally the team offers custom integration and application development services, business analysis services and data management services for a variety of departments on the campus.
We are looking for a talented Business Systems Analyst 2 to join our team to deliver world class applications to the University environment. You will be working with a smart team of business experts, engineers, PM’s on the University’s new Oracle Financial Cloud Systems. This position works with business and technical subject matter experts to identify and resolve production issues, develop, and implement systems to streamline and improve business and financial processes. Incumbent will provide support for the identification, analysis, and resolution of production issues reported for Oracle Cloud products including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Project Portfolio Management, Security, and Procurement. Create an monitor support tickets and act as a liaison between UC San Diego business owners/users and Oracle to provide engineers with documentation, including recorded zoom sessions, to resolve issues in a timely manner. Will submit enhancement requests to Oracle's Idea Lab as part of the Cloud Customer Connect program and participate in discussions with the Strategic Account Escalation (SAE) team to recommend product improvements.
- Performs a range of responsibilities within the Business Analyst function, possess broad job knowledge; analyzes problems/issues of moderate diverse scope and determines solutions.
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot production issues reported for Oracle Cloud products.
- Support general day to day system administration tasks.
- Formulates and defines limited to moderately complex systems scope and objectives
- Assists with project plan development and end user documentation.
- Identifies, evaluates and limited to moderately complex systems and procedures
Helps develop basic user interface designs. Provides support on new applications.
Employee must be available to travel as required.
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Knowledge relating to software design Understanding of system configuration and release and environment management.
Intermediate knowledge of related areas of IT. Understanding of development process, security and identity management concepts, user management, and reporting
General knowledge of business and process analysis functions. Understanding of process efficiency, project management, estimating, planning and scheduling
Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Interpersonal and communications skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Proven testing and test planning skills. Ability to write test plans, cases and scenarios; execute them and track and report results.
Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.
