DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Operations Manager the Associate Recruiter is responsible for sourcing and recruiting professionals for UC San Diego, University of California. The Associate Recruiter must have a proven track record in successful talent acquisition, recruitment, and sourcing management.

This role will work directly with hiring managers and HR team to develop recruitment plans devoted to professional sourcing and networking and sourcing activities, as well as cultivating professional contacts and identifying prospective job candidates. The Associate Recruiter will determine best recruiting methods and manage recruitment process flow. They will actively review candidate pools and ensure a diverse pool of qualified applicants.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of the recruitment, screening, interviewing, and referral processes. 1) Proven aptitude and experience with applicant tracking systems. 2) Proven experience with sourcing and screening for a variety of positions and a variety of levels. 3) Demonstrated success with all phases of recruitment coordination and logisticsmanagement.

  • Knowledge of common software used within employment and other areas of HR and how they work together. 1) Proven experience working with candidate sourcing databases (i.e., LinkedIn).

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as active listening and critical thinking skills. 1) Ability to create and deliver formal presentations to small and large groups.

  • Demonstrated abilities associated with problem identification and reasoning; ability to work with business units to develop ideas to solve staffing issues. 1) Demonstrated proactive, creative, and innovative ability to solve problems and issues.

  • Basic knowledge of employment law.
