Under the direct direction of the Clinical Services Manager and guidance from the Administator on Call, the AssistantCoordinator will be responsible for responding to organ donor referrals from San Diego and Imperial County hospitals.The Assistant Coordinator will be required to obtain information from hospital staff within 2 hours of initial referral. TheAssistant Coordinator will be responsible for documenting the information in the Lifesharing electronic record system in atimely manner. They will also be responsible for communicating referral findings to the Administrator on Call and providehospital staff clear communication on findings and follow up instructions. The Assistant Coordinator will be responsiblefor daily on-site visits of existing referrals. The Assistant Coordinator will assist Procurement Coordinators during organdonor cases with forms and charting data and information. The Assistant Coordinator will operate on a 24 hour callschedule.
Some experience in the medical field orOrgan Procurement or equivalent collegecourse work.
Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work in an interactive environment and possess excellent customer service skills both in person and over phone.

If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
