Under the direction of the SCPL Lead Tech and Manager, the Stem Cell Processing Laboratory (SCPL) IEC & Cellular Therapy Laboratory Technician is responsible for coordinating new and existing protocols with the manufacturer, principal investigator, coordinators, data and quality representative, and in-patient care teams. Coordinates collection, shipping, receipt of IEC and cellular therapy products, and preparation for infusion. Creates and maintains statistical data for monthly/annual IEC and cellular therapy reports.
When necessary, this individual will undergo training provided by the sponsor and execute specific processing protocols or train other individuals to execute the protocols. The individual also is responsible for processing and cryopreservation of cellular therapy products (CTPs) and associated assays and tasks. These are complex, non-repetitive specialized procedures required to ensure the daily operation of the SCPL and to maintain licensing and accreditation. Participation in the quality plan and clinical trial processing is required. Other duties are assigned as needed.
- Eight (8) years of recent consecutive experience in a laboratory environment OR a Bachelor's Degree in Science and four (4) years of recent consecutive experience in a laboratory environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Stem Cell processing experience.
- Processing and cryopreservation of cellular therapy products (CTPs).
- Ability in teaching, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
