Under general supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Front Desk Coordinator acts as a point of contact for patients. The position performs and participates in front office patient centered duties, to include, but not limited to, greeting patients, co-pay collection, appointment scheduling, authorizations and referrals. The position acts as a resource for patients andassists physicians, staff, and ambulatory care service managers as needed. May perform other related duties as assigned.
Three (3) years previous related experience in a large complex healthcare setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of third party payors including federal, state, and private health plans.
Strong problem solving ability by using good judgment and applying these skills to assist customers and ensure customers' expectations are met.
Proficient computer skills and be able to work between multiple systems during calls.
Ability to work in an interactive environment and possess excellent customer service skills both in person and over phone.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and inwriting.
Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities, handle deadlines andmanage conflicting demands with limited supervision.
Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with demonstrated experience applying good judgement and discretion.

- Experience working in a pain clinic.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Floats to other sites to provide coverage as needed.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
