Under the minimal supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Practice Support Specialist primarily oversees, provides leadership, and training for all back end duties such as call center, referral and authorizations, and other advanced administrative duties such as templates, office purchases, coaching, etc. The Practice Support Specialist has oversight over his/her junior counterparts. The Practice Support Specialist serves as a resource for the entire department. With the guidance of the Clinic Manager, the Practice Support Specialist initiates and participates in improvement efforts which directly impact the practice. Provides back up support to the front desk lead as needed.
A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
Thoroughly understands functions of the referral and authorization department.
Ability to articulate physician's areas of expertise. Understands functions of the physicianliaison department.
Proficient knowledge of computer programs to include Excel, PowerPoint, Graphs, and Word, etc.
Possess the skills, and extensive knowledge of practices in Ambulatory setting, administrative lead and front office administration.
Demonstrated experience providing financial oversight.
Proven ability to serve as point of contact and work collaboratively as a team member/leader.
Excellent customer/patient experience required.
Bilingual in both Spanish and English.

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
