The Registered Nurse (RN) for Neurosciences will be a resource for practice related care of patients with complex neuromuscular disease such as muscular dystrophy, as well as patients with multiple sclerosis and other complex neurological conditions. This position would help support of the practices of clinical neurologists and tasks will include, patient messaging, triage of calls and symptom management, the coordination of patient care and assisting with authorization processes related to genetic testing and medications.
Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. Duties at this level are performed under general supervision.

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
BART or BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
A minimum of Three years RN experience.
- Neurology care experience and or other chronic condition / disease.
- Case Management, Care Navigation, Care Coordination experience.
- Ambulatory care experience.
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
- Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
