Under the direction of the Medical Center Controller, GAIV is responsible for statistical, Revenue System, and Reimbursement accounting functions such as analyzing, monitoring, preparing, and reconciling financial information to reflect the organization’s financial status and provide financial data to control operations. The incumbent will know how to apply theory and put it into practice with an in-depth understanding of the healthcare field and independently perform the full range of responsibilities of the position.
Uses advanced accounting concepts and organizational objectives to resolve highly complex issues. Regularly works on highly complex accounting assignments of diverse scope requiring analysis of identifiable factors using multiple accounting and financial sources. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, completing analysis and developing recommendations. Typically receives little instruction on day-to-day work, with general instructions provided on new or unique accounting assignments. Interacts with senior internal and external contacts on matters of some significance to the accounting organization
Nine (9) years of related Accounting experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related area plus five (5) years of related Accounting experience/training.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of accounting function.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to address customer concerns in a professional and effective manner.
- CPA Certification
- Oracle Financial experience.
- Minimum five to seven (5 - 7) years experience in general ledger accounting with advanced knowledge of accounting function and GAAP.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to collect and summarize data, evaluate and establish options, and recommend and implement solutions.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
