Clinical Registered Nurse position to support Medicine Specialties to include Endocrine-Diabetes, Allergy, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, and Rheumatology. Specific tasks include vaccine administration, dressing changes, provide point of care testing and injections, care coordination including managing individual patient case management, as well as, population health case management, phone triage and assistance with inbox management, clinical education to patients and staff, and medication management. Demonstrates assessment and care delivery/service: Provides age specific care. Participates in continuing education activities, self-directed learning activities. Utilizes and is aware of nursing sensitive indicators at the unit level to monitor the quality and effectiveness of nursing care. Demonstrates adherence to customer service standards in all patient, family, and staff interactions.

Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.

  • RN License issued by the State of California.

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year RN experience, including demonstrated ambulatory/outpatient experience.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must be able to work within a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSN/MSN
  • RN Case Management experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Prior experience in Medicine Specialties; Endocrine-Diabetes, Allergy, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, and Rheumatology.
  • Charge nurse experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
