Under general supervision of the Imaging Services Scheduling Manager, provide technical, patient care and clerical support to technologists/radiologists by scheduling procedures, processing radiographs, transporting patients/preparing for radiographic procedures, and preparing radiographs for interpretation for MRI, CT, Diagnostic, Breast Imaging, and Ultrasound. Responsible and accountable for key activities associated with the Imaging Services scheduling systems (RIS, and EPIC). Serves as a liaison for external and internal clinical contacts. Operates a multi-line phone system and provides excellent customer service to patients and clinical staff. Participates in cross training to obtain seamless operations within the Imaging Department. Responsible for screening patients over the phone, and performing other related functions as required.
Three (3) years of related experience with scheduling imaging exams/procedures orcoordinating imaging exams/procedures through a multi-specialty service (e.g. Oncology or Surgery); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successfulperformance of the duties assigned to the position.
Training Medical terminology training and/or certificate.
Must be customer service and detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work effectively and equitably in a team environment.
- Hospital experience.
- Radiology department experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
