Specifically, we investigate the impact of pregnancy, maternal birth injury, and aging on the structure, function, and regenerative potential of pelvic skeletal muscles and how pathological alterations in these muscles contribute to the development of pelvic floor disorders. In addition, we explore the role of novel biomaterials in pelvic skeletal muscle regeneration.
