The Associate Director of Imaging Services provides operational leadership and support for the creation and management of budgets, scheduling process, quality improvement, strategic planning, capital planning, and department growth. Provides staff oversight for department scheduling, administrative staff, quality specialist, and the digital library. Expected to work with procurement and capital projects to manage capital equipment purchases, upgrades, and projects. Develops comprehensive analytical reports and key performance metrics to guide operational decisions and strategy. Partners with the Senior Director, modality managers, section chiefs and Chair for establishment of operational processes, policy, and procedure. Works with department leadership in the execution of strategy, service line growth, and other initiatives. Successful candidate would have a black belt in process improvement and/or other like formal performance improvement training and or skills; as well as ability to manage complex and large projects.
Administrative Manager 1: Responsible for managing the administrative operations of a school, OR a medium to large academic department, OR several small departments within a college, OR a medium to large non-academic department. Typically includes all or most of the following functions: IT, facilities, student services, contracts and grants, budgetary financial management and/or human resources. Manages a professional staff, typically large, and/or comprised of professionals in various fields. Assumes accountability for decisions made by subordinates. Performs long and short term planning for function. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules.
* Manages, plans and administers all administrative operations of a medium to large clinical department. Administrative services typically include all or most of the following functions: IT, facilities, student services, laboratories, contracts and grants, budgetary financial management, recharge administration and/or human resources.
* May oversee administrative functions for complex operations such as clinical laboratories or multiple patient care facilities, typically to include significant budgetary accountability.
* Prepares short and long range planning for administrative services operations and improvements to processes.
* Establishes and recommends change to policies which affect the assigned units.
* Develops and monitors operational and budget processes, staff FTE, finance, human resources and space planning.
* Represents the department on business affairs to the organization, vendors and community.
* Manages systems and procedures to protect departmental assets.
* Capital planning. Plans for physical plant rehabilitation and renovation.
* Oversees the preparation and management of grant and/or contract proposals involving a diverse and/or wide variety of funding sources, agencies and/or vendors.
* Develops and prepares budgets and financial reports for grants, general appropriations, endowments and other funds. Fund appropriations are typically moderate in complexity.
Bachelor's degree in related area, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Seven (7+) or more years of relevant healthcare experience, ideally including progressive leadership responsibility and/or Imaging Services.
Experience and proven success in having broad knowledge of healthcare delivery processes, protocols and procedures with a focus on budget, account and fund management, process improvement, and/or personnel management under labor contracts and personnel policy.
- MHA, MBA or relevant advanced degree.
- LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt certification, or equivalent experience in performance improvement.
- Experience managing/facilitating large projects and/or process improvement initiatives across multiple departments.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
- Experience in creation of operational analytics to drive departmental performance. Strong Excel and Tableau skills.
- Experience managing capital planning and opening new care sites.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must pass physical, drug screen, immunization screening and TB test.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations basedon business needs.
